Christmas at the Communidade

It's Sunday and the footpath near the Communidade building at Margao has turned into a free-for-all Christmas decoration market. Stars, caps, cribs and loads of shiny frills are sold by peddlers sitting, standing and strutting their stuff.
.
This elegant Art Deco building is an understated masterpiece of modernist minimalism, with its tall slim columns and simple railings. The window grills have a well proportioned sunburst motif. Okay, okay, this isn't the architecture blog, but I can't help admiring this graceful edifice.

At first sight the young lad seems to be playing with his toys, but he has a job to do and miles to go before he sleeps... May God keep him happy and make life easier for him in the coming years.
